Lema was founded in 1970 by the Meroni family, which still manages it, thanks to a tradition dating back to the 1930s. In the 40's the meeting with the first nationally recognised architects and designers was decivive for a more contemporary aesthetic production and the transformation in industry. In the 1980s and 1990s there was radical changes. Lema was the first to develop a load-bearing side-panel system (Lo Scaffale) and l'Armadio al Centimetro, a custom-built wardrobe program. Very successful iconic products for perfect adaptability to different needs and styles. In 2008, from a proposal focused on systems and accessories, Lema introduced a more articulated home collection: Lema opens up the the world of sofas, establishing itself among the best producers in just a few years. This new course has collaborations with important names of Italian design such as Roberto Lazzeroni, Studio Kairos, Ludovica e Roberto Palomba. Among the latest news there are the day systems T030 and the LT40, and Air Cleaning System, an innovative patented wardrobe device that allows the sanitization of personal items contained in it.
